Hotel is much cleaner than the area would have you believe. Very happy to have stayed here rather than downtown in a room 3x smaller and 3x more expensive. Great service both in the evening and morning. Great coffee and muffins - truly.

The TV did not have sound, which we discovered on the first night of our 3 night stay. We have let the motel know, and the owner said her husband will take a look at it. We were waiting the whole night and nobody came. We have mentioned the issue the next day, somebody did come only to tell us that it cannot be fixed that day. He said he will call the maintenance guy and have him fix it. Of course, nobody fixed it. We were also not offered another room even though they had vacancy. It was not that big of an issue but the way they handled it was not professional.

Decent hotel for stay between GG Park and Presidio. Very convenient for visit to DeYoung and Legion of Honor museums. Lots of great restaurants around. Room was well equipped with fridge, microwave, and HVAC. Room was kept very clean. Parking was iffy.

The room was crawling with bed bugs! I was bitten by multiple bugs, I woke up after sleeping for two hours, and I saw three bed bugs crawling on my bed. The staff claimed that there had 'never been any reports of bed bugs' even though the room was obviously infested with bed bugs. I had to hit the streets of San Francisco at 2am to find another place to stay. The staff did promise to refund my money, but they have thus far refused to do so. It seems that the Geary Motel works hard to manage these reviews. They probably have a lot of fake reviews, and they respond politely to bad reviews. Please do not be mislead! Do not stay in this motel. Terrible bed bugs!
